Natural plant fiber rugs are a quickly renewable resource that includes sea grass, hemp, jute, coir, paper, and sisal. All are naturally absorbent and will shrink or expand with changes in humidity, making them appropriate for indoor floorcovering. These rugs are not recommended for wet areas such as kitchens and baths, but can go just about anywhere else. There is a vast array of colors and textures available to create an inviting casual atmosphere from area rugs to wall-to-wall.

Natural plant fiber rugs also come in a wide array of weaves, on which we can advise you. For example, narrow boucle weaves can show indentations from weighty furniture, so a flat or thick-boucle weave is recommended in dining rooms and areas where chairs and other pieces are moved around.
